| No, not really. The only reason why I'm posting this and not actually playing it is because my Xbox 360 is in the crapper. This was and still is my most anticipated game for 2008. It sucks that I won't be able to play it until 2-3 weeks from now. With all the rave reviews (99 on metacritic and gamerankings), this game will be donning the GOTY title from many publications at the end of the year. I attended the midnight launch at GameCrazy (Queens Village). I got there at about 8:30PM and was the first five or so in line. This was my first midnight launch for any game ever, so I had no idea what to expect. Power 105.1 held this NBA 2K8 contest beforehand where the winner won a brand new 360 Elite. Overall, it was a decent experience. The downsides were that there was massive line cutting and the store didn't have any pre-payment options (all transactions took place after midnight). It must've sucked to be at the end of the 300+ person line. The good things though were that I scored a limited edition GTA faceplate and got the chance to get out of there early. I didn't feel particularly safe with the overwhelming black and hispanic crowd and unlit parking lot. The limited edition faceplate:
